Therapéa Kids, a Child and Youth Care Centre is dedicated to providing love, care, and healing to traumatised and abandoned children.
Our mission is rooted in – compassion, Faith, and a commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
Development
We provide recreational and developmental programs that promote cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth.
Essentials
Providing everyday necessities including clean water, nutritious food, clothing, school uniforms, sports equipment, and toys.
Roleplayers
We employ qualified professionals who are genuinely committed to the well-being of the children in our care.

Dr. Belinda van der Vlies
Dr. Belinda van der Vlies serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Therapéa-Kids Child and Youth Care Centres, where she leads with unwavering dedication and deep compassion. Her daily involvement in therapeutic programs, as well as the emotional, physical, and developmental wellbeing of each child, reflects
a heartfelt commitment far beyond professional duty.
Driven by a profound sense of calling, Dr. van der Vlies
is devoted to transforming the lives of vulnerable young girls, offering them not only care
but hope and a future.
She holds the following academic qualifications:
- Licentiate in Theology (BTC)
- BA Honours in Psychology (UFS)
- Master of Diaconology in Play Therapy (UNISA)
- PhD in Psychology (NWU)
